A group of electrical workers are sent to an abandoned building in Chicago to investigate an unusual power source. They discover a deserted laboratory which turns out to be a portal to a parallel universe. The group find themselves trapped in an alien environment with strangely mutated humans with spider appendages who feed on humans. Will they find their way out alive?
